Our Programs
OUR INDIGENOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM INCLUDES:
– Our Home-School Coordinator who works to strengthen our link between school and family
– Our Aboriginal Advocate who supports our students of Aboriginal ancestry academically, socially and emotionally.
– Carrier language and culture classes for all W.L. McLeod Elementary School students.
– Indigenizing and decolonizing throughout the curriculum and our school.
ATHLETICS AT McLEOD INCLUDE:

 - Floor hockey
 
Intermediate students participate in Vanderhoof/District-wide play days.
COUNSELLING
At McLeod Elementary School our counsellors are Ms. Joslin Thalheimer and Mr. Todd Blattner.
They are available for small group counselling and referrals for counselling with outside agencies. Please contact the school for more information.
FRENCH IMMERSION
At Ecole W.L. McLeod Elementary School Skehhodul’eh we offer French Immersion in kindergarten to grade 6. Students can begin in French Immersion in Kindergarten or Grade 1.
Our French Immersion program offers:
- Communication skills
 - Fluency in two languages
 - Cultural appreciation
 
OUR LIBRARY
The McLeod Elementary School library is the centre of our school –figuratively and literally. Our teacher-librarian is Mr. Kari Ephrom. She is eager to hear from students and parents about ideas to help make our library even better.
